Emmi on getting the vaccine for her friends

"My first thought when I learned the vaccine was available for me was excitement. I really want this pandemic to be over and for things to go back to normal, so I was really excited when I heard the COVID vaccine was available for kids 12 and older because I believe that the pandemic won't end until at the very least most of the population has been vaccinated.

 

The thing that has been the most influential for me was my friends. I wanted to get the covid vaccine so that I could see my friends in person without masks and do things that we used to before the pandemic.

 

Before the vaccine was available to kids, I felt so helpless because there was really nothing I could do to get my life back to normal.

 

When it became available to kids I immediately wanted to get it.”
